Pink Pineapples

Like many of you, I’ve had a pineapple quilt on my list for as long as it’s been a “thing”. Jackie Padesky (@jackiepadeskyquilts on instagram) came up with the great idea and will email you the pattern for free if you contact her. Inspiration for this tiny version hit in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get it out of my head.

White:
(10) 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

Green:
(6) 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4 “

Pink:
(20) 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

Choose 4 green and 4 pink squares to be your HSTs (half square triangles). Draw a line down the center of 8 white squares. Pair up the white squares with the green and pink squares, sew on the line, trim 1/4″ from the center, and press. These squares should still measure 1 1/4″. Lay out your pineapple block and begin assembling in rows. I press the seams to the side on the rows, alternating directions so they nest. Sew the rows together into the pineapple and press the seams open.
